When you can't be with the one you love,
It's like not being able to go to heaven above.

It's like losing someone you care for,
And you wish that you were there for.

It feels so wrong, and you know it's true,
And i'd hate to say it but I'm helpless with out you.

I can't stand to look at any other guy,
Cause when I do, I see you face and start to cry.

It hurts me inside to know that you lied,
But I keep telling myself, "at least I tried."

I only wish you could understand how I feel for you,
And I wish you would love me the way I love you.

I don't understand why it had to end that way,
You should have told me how you felt the very first day.

If only I knew, you were going to do this to me,
I would have said," to leave me alone and let me be."

Why did you use ME to take out all of your pain,
You didn't bother to think of my feelings, oh so vain.

I had told you once before, no matter what you would do or say,
I was always going to love you either way.

But it seems that you don't care what happens to me,
So I guess I'll Leave YOU alone and let YOU be.

Maybe one day we can try it again,
But until then, I just want to be your friend.
