The Open Road

There is a feeling burning deep inside.

It is a feeling I must supress.

What will stop me from giving it all up, giving in to the voices?

The ones that say sell it all, pack a bag, and fire that hog up.

Just go, live a life free to go anywhere, wherever, or whenever I choose.

Flip a coin, play a hunch, just go wherever the road and freedom takes me.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
