    The Strip

    shattered spells of explosion flairs
enter the eyelids of innocent bloodstreams
    the screams-
penetrates the fleeing and dismantles the hearing
    body limbs fling
    agony pardons the singing
clinging to the sound that once held peace
    to only release
civilians legs holding on by a thread of flesh
they press against open bellies that leak intestines
both believe in One God they profess and fall victim to land haste
who beckons to a five year old child -whom head is blown from his face?
or his twelve year old sister with a surrender flag embosom in her hand gunned down in her premature breast and waist
he couldn't hear his mother's call , she never heard his plea
for over thousands have lain dead in the cross fire of tyranny

There is a lot of emotion in this poem. It expresses what is going on there really well.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
