    TIME TO SAY FARWELL

     The time will come
    To say farwell, 
    I'll write two lines
    Or maybe three
    To tell you, dear
    About my love;
    No heart or soul 
    Will ever know 
    Why what's been 
    Will never be, 
    Why the finch 
    And mourning-dove 
    Will not roost 
    Upon the tree.. 
    Why the "was" 
    Will never be.. 
    As it was 
    With you and me!
