    TO MOTHER

    “I’ll be with you forever”, you would always say;

    Well forever is ending, just any day.

    The reaper wants his dues and we each must pay;

    Though for a season, we hold him at bay.

    He is standing, waiting, for one I hold most dear;

    Though the suffering is great, you have shown no fear.

    I have yet to see you shed a single tear;

    Your strength will carry me through each and every year

    And when you go into God’s arms above;

    Soaring and sailing like a pure white dove.

    You will be in our hearts and we shall think of;

    Mama, is the prettiest flower in God’s garden of love

    “I’ll be with you forever”, you would always say;

    You were right mama. Forever doesn’t end, this or any day.

    You are truly a man with a heart and soul. Your poetry reflects that you have deep human emotion for those you love and not afraid to express that and I like that.

    When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
