To my Little Brown Button Eyes...Love Snowflake x

You invade my soul with a flurry of butterflies;
the simpliest notion a lifetime fulfillment,
your artistry is truly a sculpture of angels
each characteristic element wrapped in a bendediction.
and it's then that my heart whimpers softly: knowing I
...unfulfilling to your needs, have subcome to your grace.

Your eyes became my insoluble muse,
each intricate detail a web to my vunerable heart...
with every breath I suffocate in submission to your covet.

Witness in me a sincenerity, an honesty...that will comfort your entity
in the death of each shadow filled night,
as I notice in you my torniquet, stemming the blood of my youth
and forgiving me for my imperfections.

You my black rose, have fulfilled me beyond all rendition,
consumated every inclination and wish, that I could not...
will not...stand another replicational second without you...
not when mother nature procreated us to stand
against this world.

Now I ask...will you stand with me?

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
