    Tragic Love

I fell in love with this one girl,
She was one of a kind I said the at her funeral,
There was something different about her,
She gave me a smile I could keep forever.

She gave me something I cant explain,
She knew that with her I wouldn’t feel pain,
I gave her all I am,
I gave her my life, I cant believe it, damn.

There’s things about her I cant forget,
When she was alive she’d call me her Clark Kent,
    She made me happy,
She had a dream of one day being my wifey.

When I told her I loved her, she’d ask me how much,
She promised she’d never leave me, but she didn’t even make it to lunch,
We were happy together why did it stop?
We went everywhere together even to shop.

We talked on the phone for hours,
When she was around I felt full of powers,
I don’t know if I told her enough,
But letting her go is way to tough.

Its hard to live being alone,
I cry when I see the messages she used to leave me on my phone,
I love you and I cant live without you, you know that,
Since you left the Earth I feel like my heart is forever now flat.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.
