Transverse

A man and
A woman
both whom I can see.
Are staring in a mirror
staring back at me;
Layer after layer
til  there's nothing underneath,
Except a void in the void
where I used to be.
A mind, not bless
but again I'm not bequeathed
To be any more of me
than I can be
While contempt and disdain
are staining everything.
And my reason for my reasons
have lost any meaning.
I'll have to learn to stop becoming
and learn to start just being.
