    Truth

How come everybody I meet and talk to is oblivious to what's going on
    We're under attack from all
    sides
We're all the children of an invisible
    siege
"Welcome to America can I take your freedom
    very slowly please?"
    Everybody has a dream
The founders of America probably never would've
dreamed of America being run by tyrants, thieves, and hypocrites
    We ain't even a superpower
    anymore
    We're more like global police
Push the button so that we may all go
    up in flames
Because the bible shows that you
    will do it soon
    We all have a choice
Walk around blind or live with your eyes opened
wide like the people living on the streets
There homeless yes, but victims of an unseen
    oppression
    Open your eyes and see

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
