Unpleasant Surprise
Running blindly into a brick wall,Each time thinking a door will appear.
Blood and tears trickling as I once again fall,
Longing for a dream so distant but dear.
Dizzy, in pain, frustrated and sad,
Wondering why I even bother to try.
How did things ever manage to get so bad?
Sometimes logic and common sense don't apply.
One word, sometimes two can do lots of harm,
Sliding off the page as I sit in mild shock;
Mouth opening in surprise, goosebumps on my arms,
Trying to keep all the anger under lock.
Chaotic jumble of things I don't understand,
So many feelings I try to sort through,
I want someone to just take my hand,
and tell me what's the right thing to do.
