    UnSpoken Words

    The new begining
    the start of another day
more opportunity for my son to play.
but he is at school and I at work
    wish there was more time,
instead of work I'd put him 1st.
    Despite this new day
    time surely passes
by the time I reach home
his awake hours have not lasted.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
