Untitled no.1
There are times when I have to sleep on my back to breathe
Like I'm knee-deep in pregnancy
Nothing will keep that baby from changing the world
If only I were brave enough to carry him to term
I'll apologize
but I'm more guilty than sorry, really
I can never be your salvation
Baby,
How do you expect me to take pills when I can't even take a vacation?
Was this what you were expecting?
No.
So, I'll just double my vowels until my words stop meaning anything at all
Turn my mouth into a generator of soft sounds
So, I'll learn to rhyme with the words in my head instead of the ones on paper.
I'll learn to be whole in this world of halves.
I'll turn my pilot light on and learn to call my head home.
