Untitled
The mask you wear is only a lie
I see the hurt and pain that afflicts you
When I look in your eyes
I see the secrets you try to hide
You built this wall to guard and shield
To protect your emotions, imagination and will
This wall is to keep out; letting nothing in
You only deceive yourself because in the end reality wins
Be true to who you are
Embrace the hurt and bad memories
Never hide your true self
In hopes of being free from rejection
Paralyzed by fear
Afraid to be open, honest, and real
Intimidated by others
Afraid to go against the crowd
I see the hurt and pain that afflicts you
When I look in your eyes
I see the secrets you try to hide
You built this wall to guard and shield
To protect your emotions, imagination and will
This wall is to keep out; letting nothing in
You only deceive yourself because in the end reality wins
Be true to who you are
Embrace the hurt and bad memories
Never hide your true self
In hopes of being free from rejection
Paralyzed by fear
Afraid to be open, honest, and real
Intimidated by others
Afraid to go against the crowd
