WALKING WITH GRANDFATHER
I took a walk with Grandfather today, wordless conversation of the heart.
Kissed by his spirit within the wind.
His voice I heard in the mountain stream, joyfully proclaiming the good news
there for all who take time to listen.
Through his winged messengers his promises he does sing.
He clothed me in the warmth of his sun.
Shaded me in the shadows of his clouds.
Cleansed me with showers of blessings, wisdom contained within each raindrop.
My human eyes unable to see his form, and yet, his presence ever visible unto my spirit eyes.
A gentle warning from the keepers of his forest, "this is home_ walk gently_
quietly_ humbly here in".
In total self abandonment, upon bended knee
I thank Grandfather for all he has gifted me.
Not, because I am worthy, but rather because Grandfather chose to walk with me.
