What Do You Do?

What Do You Do?

What do you do when you've done all you can and it seems like it's never enough? I mean you try and you try to suppress how you truly feel in order to maintain something and to spare the feelings of others because you know you have a purpose and an assignment to be in someone's life. You try and control the anger that builds up from random comment after random comment whether it is to deliberately hurt you, but you stay in the situation because God has not said to move and you try to stay strong. You try to put all of your trust in Him but at times you neglect to realize that all things have a purpose and you fall into yourself and you explode after holding it back for months at a time. You feel like this was the right thing to do and you finally exhale. But then in comes the Holy Spirit convicting you and you apologize to God for failing a portion of the test and you try again, hoping to pass the next part. Then it starts all over, the same exact routine. You wake up ready to front like everything is okay and you fool a lot of people. You have become so good at this that you forget that you're even putting it on. You even fool the one that directly causes all of your frustrations and you act like everything is koo between you. In prayer you ask God why you feel the way you do. You even question the level of strength that you have and often you wonder if you are even worthy of the call. But God simply replies and says, "Wait." You then say, "Okay God, I know this is all in your plan." And He reaffirms that with Him you are more than a conqueror and He tells you that He will never put anymore on you than you can bear. Then you muster up within your spirit the confidence to walk uprightly relying totally on God's promises and you are ready to tackle the same test you failed numerous times. The only thing you fail to realize is that with each time you take the test it gets slightly harder than the previous one. So you go about taking the test with the same techniques and tactics that you did before not knowing this until you fail again and its too late to change your answers because its already turned in and the teacher has left the classroom. You get the test back and it has a big fat "F" on it. You wonder why, and then someone brings it to your attention that in order to pass the test you must listen to the teacher during class and take good notes. Not only that but you have to study outside of the classroom, which means reading the textbook thoroughly, and actually hiding the word in your heart. In class it seems as though the teacher won't stop talking, you wonder why and someone randomly calls and informs you that when it comes time for a test or a quiz the teacher is ALWAYS silent. Now you think you get it, but here comes the same test again, but this time you have to study alone. No one can help you. You may go to them for encouragement, but that doesn't answer the task at hand, for the answers needed to your questions can only be answered by the teacher. You must go to the creator of the test in order to pass. Only with His divine infinite wisdom can you pass. So here you are, in the midst of the test, not knowing, what each day will bring, but you wake up in hopes that each day will be better then yesterday. You know that your latter will be greater than the rest. You prepare yourself for whatever may be thrown your way and you put on your whole armor of God and you are ready to battle until the end. There is a possibility that you will be wounded in the battle and that there may be casualties but you know that you have to endure the fight for it is the pathway into your destiny. So there you have it. You live each day on His word, and after you've done all you can, you just stand.

This poem describes experiences I have had too. Well written because each line keeps me reading on to the next line. I like the ending too ~ I'm going to write those words out to look at every day. I'll be watching for more of your poetry.

Thank you for reading and commenting. I am glad that you were touched. Be blessed...

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
