What I Hope Is Your Final Poem
It seems as though things that
Were simple then
Are now pointless
Yet everything in my eyes.
Things I said when we sat
What feels like way back when
Are Not meaningless
And I still feel those ties.
Like I am held by that
Even when my ink dies from my pen.
And now it seems
So pointless now.
And now you no longer appear.
Not even in my dreams.
I know you're there somehow
But even in fear
You're Not.
And it seems so pointless now
That you're not here
But you make due
With what you have somehow
And thats the person I felt I always knew.
Were simple then
Are now pointless
Yet everything in my eyes.
Things I said when we sat
What feels like way back when
Are Not meaningless
And I still feel those ties.
Like I am held by that
Even when my ink dies from my pen.
And now it seems
So pointless now.
And now you no longer appear.
Not even in my dreams.
I know you're there somehow
But even in fear
You're Not.
And it seems so pointless now
That you're not here
But you make due
With what you have somehow
And thats the person I felt I always knew.
