    What ... Love?

    Midnight sparkles in a sky of dark blue
    and as I watch, my heart is filled with the
    love I have for you.
    For me, this love we share is so intense and true;
    it makes me wonder what it really means to you.
    I know what I feel and truly want us to be;
    but it takes two to love or we should set
    each other free.
    Can we continue the way we've been;
    sometimes we're out and sometimes we're in?
    Loving someone is a privilege and a gift,
    so let's try to do it right and prove that
    real love is not a myth.
    If we can just give each other honesty and respect,
    I know we can find a way to truly connect.

    When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
