What,s this world coming to

What,s this world coming to

What's this world coming to
Skies are black, no longer blue,
Nuclear war, everywhere
Life on Earth, is in complete despair.

Atomic bomb, explodes nearby
Millions and millions of people die,
Enemy forces everywhere
Screams and cries, fill the air.

People try to run and hide
Their hearts pounding, deep inside,
Air raid sirens, blaring away
I wonder, if I'll die today.

Nuclear subs, sneaking by
Another missle, more will die,
Many children, running down the road
War planes, dropping their load.

Wondering what, just happened to me
It's getting dark, I can not see,
The skies are black, no longer blue
What's this world coming too.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
