when i die

And when i die i have one thing to say
Its a oneway journy that i take alone
AND it  was my turn to go
like the rest of my freinds that went ahead
I will suck up my pride because i am dead
The world i knew now being gone and opened up a new road
all will come here it isnt your choice
but one thing for sure it will be interesting a path that we live reflecting
I ll go whith no regrets  on this new road
where we go is  a presumption of power money  and fame
But you cant take it with you only your pride
So if i have a choice it wouldnt be alone.
I would ask my friends and family if they would like to go
But  in the end i know what they will say
No not today i think  your suppose to take it alone

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
