    When will it end?

    It started with a push
    Just a little shove
I acted like it never happened
Because I was so deeply in love

    Then it was a choke
Sort of like a body slam
    His love had me blind
    I believed it would never
    Happen again

Now this one's gonna shock you
    After this I stayed
He hit me such a force
    My eye was black
    Swollen shut for days

He told me that he loved me
    Even thought of comitting suicide
Said he couldn't believe he hit
    The one he loves
He said he wanted to die

My heart reached out to him
Because I knew the words he spoke
Were true, I told him it's ok
I told him I still love you

Since then it's been a slap
    Wrestling around the room
It's not as bad as before
    But still it's not cool
Next month we're suppose to say I do
I love this man so much
I don't know what to do

Hope this is pure fiction ,but if not and you don't know what to do, pray and talk to someone you truly trust. I just posted two poems on here about abuse, from the male and female point of view called "what else am I to do " and I'm doing the best that I can. Mrs johnson loves her husband has small kids and prays that Mr Johnson will stop. In my opinion she should get out of Dodge. Mr Johnson insists he loves his live in punching bag. It was interesting reading what others thought but the majority of the poets who read it thought Mrs Johnson should stick it out for the sake of love and the kids and marriage. take a look because if this is fiction it's first rate. If not it's very scary but it's still first rate poetry.

Thank you so much. I wish I could say it was pure fiction. But I wised up and left that situation a year ago. I stayed so long for our kids.Eventually I left for that same reason. I'll be sure to read that poem.

Poetry is what is lost in translation.
