    Poem Commentary

Just a penny, is all I ask.

    Where is Tomorrow

I am content, for today, in need of nothing.
Love has held me, giving me life.
Death haunts me, though I am not afraid.
I wait patiently, expecting no future.

I am poor, soon to be homeless.
Life was in me, yet someone took it away.
There are no goals, no dreams remain.
I want to sleep, never to wake again.

I have seen Life, God showed me it all.
Treasurable and worthy, ruined by mans greed.
Beauty has faded, shadows bring darkness.
I am alive, but without desire.

I gave my life, as I was trampled upon.
    Being ignored, left with nothing.
My soul seeks rest, I am tired.
I wait for death, even it doesn’t want me.

This is a dark and sad revelation,my friend. Take heart, God is merciful, loving and benevolent. Look up and smile to Him. Your Savior and the Creator of All that we can See and All that we cannot see, as well. Have faith and remain with Him to heal and rest your wounded spirit. Bless You!

As all things in Life, they move on. from the beginning to the end, time is really irrelevant. Faith, Hope, and Dreams carry us throughout. When you are down-trodden, depressed, or put asunder by other people, you must maintain the courage to stay alive. Never giving up, or giving in. Until Death says that it is time to rest, I shall never sleep. Faith can be weak, hope may be drained, yet Life continues. Patience and perseverance, is the last of Hope. Overcoming all things, just a matter of time allowed. I'm glad that you enjoyed the writing. The soul embraces no lies. Have a good day, may your dreams be of reality.

I truly enjoyed this read, my favorite part was actually the ending "My soul seeks rest, I am tired. I wait for death, even it doesn’t want me." Superb writing. 10 from me

lovely..wonderful piece, a true expression of life..but there's always hope

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
