Why Can't Wear A Smile

I was just sitting here and thoughts cross my mine are my friends really here for me or to keep me down.
Is it me am I blind do my wife really love me are she just fooling me around. Am I right or just singing the some old song  growing up without your Parent can make your whole life go wrong. The things I do trying to make it sometime the ways of this world have left me behind. My God My God why can't you help me with this frown I don't know why I'm left here crying all the time.
My heart is hurting I feel so down why is love so hard for me to find, So Why can't I wear a smile?

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
