    Why did you do it

    Why did you do it
    Everything i feel for you
Is left behind in the past
    Because you have gone away
Without a motive or a reason

    Why did you do it
    You hurt my heart
If one day i believed in you
    I was wrong
    You never gave me anything,
    Only betrayal
    You hurt my heart

You see, that's what you wanted
You see, you were the one who hurt me
    You see, now you're sorry
You see, tell me how it feels
Now that i don't love you
    That i'm not yours anymore
I left you behind, you and your pride

If one day i believed in you
    I was wrong
    You never gave me anything,
    Only betrayal
    You hurt my heart

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
