you or a butterfly wind

you aren't standing in my light
but i'm not in the right frame of mind
if the thoughts beg to be spoken
i might say it, see
you are my light so don't go
a garden in my muse where you grow
words like vines that uncoil from my soul

some girls, some girls you see
they might think that i don't speak
then in innocence forget that i listen
to them babble on endlessly
that's not me
i communicate with pages
blank pages
and ponder things maybe that are nothing
and not, maybe not
of this time and place

what is this obstacle you have made
was it planned by you
or a butterfly wind or did i just
let you in
are you comfortable here in my fantasies
or for you is it
a tunnel-vision disaster
in a love that wasn't meant to be
and maybe in a life that wasn't meant to be

Gardening our thoughts I see. I should learn from this piece, Thank you for your words and Insight on Love angles, Just no triangles and we will both be geometrically safe, Happy new year ~Sam

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
