    your obituary

Are you living your life the best you can ,
while caring for your fellow man.
Or are you living just for that number one gal or guy,
you know the all important, me, myself and I
Can you honestly say with true conviction,
that you made helping others one of your missions.
Living your life and staying out of trouble ,
doesn't automatically mean your points get doubled.
Are you volunteering and or sharing your time,
or perhaps on the streets committing crime.
Do you treat others with kindness and respect,
or do you just throw up your hands and say what the heck.
If your not part of the solution then your part of the problem,
wake the hell up and help us solve them.
When we die we wonder which way will we go
high up above or way down below.
The choice is ours so go on and choose ,
you know that old saying if you snooze you loose.
It's going to happen I'm not going to lie,
we're born, we live and then we die.
As you live your life and go on your way,
think of this when you die
    what will others say.
Live your life as you see fit, but to the contrary
    you better believe this
the life you live will surely write your obituary.

THIS IS AN XCELLEN T POEM & SO TRUE !! I REALLY ENJOYD READING DIS PIECE !! BCUZ WE OFTEN TAKE LIFE FOR GRANTED !! DIS DESERVES A 20!! :-)

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
