    You're here...but you're not...

You stole my heart like a thieve in the night
Your protective instincts made me feel so right
To hold you tight is what I wish will be
Next to my body to feel your breath as you breathe
Your hands are so strong, I love the way they feel
That five o’clock shadow is pure sex appeal
You seduced me with your eyes, as we gazed away
Your deep voice whispering good night…as we lay
Your hair in your face as we kissed so sweet
How you told me you wanted me “In Between the Sheets”
No one made me feel as important as you did my dear
Just know that I’m here, when you’re ready to hold me near

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
