    A culture lost

    Deprogram yourself from the radio.
Ignorance is bliss and away we go.
Originally a form of art, now it's dummied down.
It used to stimulate my ears, but it's crummy now.
Hip-Hop still exist but its underground.
My anger arouses a storm. Hear the thunder pound!
A few bad apples really spoils a bunch.
The industry cares less of your health and they feed you lunch.
Pure commercial crap, really needs to take a rest.
Skilless simple minded junk is labled the best.
Real Rap is conscience and intends to make you think.
A once tight ship is now about to sink.
Anything intelligent or bringing awareness to Blacks,
the government devises a plan then attacks.
Making sure you're asleep, careless and lax.
Now the masses cherish ignorance and idols over facts.
It's a shame, the radio claims they play Hip-Hop.
It's really lame! Their game is really "hip-pop."
An artist with substance will hardly be heard.
Now these dummy rappers are coming in herds.
They're given a title "artists" that they don't even deserve.
To brainwash people, an idea must be repeated.
Therefore the radio playlist must be depleted!
Mindless garbage is aired over and over again all day!
That way the stupid public believes all rap is the same way!
Jiggaboos, thugs, whores, pimps and playas.
That's how America loves to portray us.
Those who act it out for the "Payola" betrays us!
If we don't free our own minds, then nothin will save us.
A matrix is a program that annex our struggle.
I'm here to free our image from the boon coon shuffle.
Just a little something you won't get under the steeple.
With a raised fist I say all power to the people.
All people refine your mind from the forces unseen.
Let's bring the system to a down and rage against the machine!
    PEACE.

...boon coon shuffle... greta line... I have a poem about the real "hip-hop" that is very similar in sentiment. I love the way this flowed... as for co-opting I am down for anything... Revolution brother... ck out some Aesop rock if you are not already familiar with him... good shite...

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

    Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
