A Daughter's Love
Will you ever know the daughter that truly loves you so? The one you left behind so long ago. A father's hug and a show of Love is what I long for but wonder if this feeling I would evr know or ever see the look of Pride in my father's eyes. I think of the few times we sahred together and within myself there are silent cries becaause these old thoughts are the only thing that I have to remember you by. Your absence left a void and the wrong road I choose to go ending up in the arms of an older man because you fatherly advice I did not know. I still want to thank you for the lesson you never even know you taught me, which was how to keep my head above ground and never let anything get me down. I am now a strong woman and doing find I have a Father in Heaven who helps me to get by and on him I can completely rely. Sometimes when it's late at night I can hear the silent cries and still wonder ,Will you ever know the daughter that truly loves you so? Will I ever see that look of pride in father's eyes? With God's help finally you will realize your love for me and a father daughter relationship we could try.A Daughter's Love

- Genuine and beautiful notes that could actually be a song's lyrics. I felt every word. Sometimes we don't understand how a parent could be so callous and abandon a child without remorse. It is your father that lost, believe me. There is no gift more special and powerful than to be with your child. Great write. Enjoyed!

- You and I have a lot in common, I was basically forgotten by my father when he remarried when I was 8 years old. He passed away three years ago and I still wonder what life could have been like for me with him in it. Great poem, brave of you to share it!
