A Flower's Essence

A Flower's Essence

Unfurling...
gently...
emerald hue...
brilliant color born anew.

Beauty...
Fragrance...
lovely view...
petals dripping morning dew.

Touched by rain -
and warmed by sun.
The earth awakes
the day is done.

Giving...
receiving...
planting or growing ~
Flowers have meaning.
Her face will be... glowing.

A truly lovely Ode to one of my favorite flowers! Tender and moving images to enjoy! Well done!

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
