    A Leap for Life

    Feeling cold and all alone,
is nothing like I would have known.
    Safely trapped inside my cave,
    always afraid to misbehave.
I hear my cry and see my tear,
because I know that life's so near.
I laugh at the insanity of it all,
cause I know I'm beginning to fall.
Out life's window which seems so grand,
and now I know my soul is damned.
So watch me now as I take this leap,
and over my fate you must not weep.

Emotional tide of dispare, will hopefully give someone who really cares. Breath of fresh air, leaves one to ponder and stare.

I like your poem is very straight forward. It's so easy to feel it.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
