    Looking into his eyes

When I look into his eyes,
I'm taken aback in such surprise.
To see such depth within them lies,
I wonder if he'll hear my cries.
Even though we have no ties,
he should know I will tell no lies.
But when I look into his eyes,
I see sadness that within them cries.
He holds this feeling so it never dies.
But he hides this feeling cause he is wise.
That's what I see when I look into his eyes.

Thanks, I wrote this poem for a friend. Sometimes the look in his eyes just hit you in the soul and make you want to cry.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
