    A Moment in Time

    Looking at my photograph
    you launched a kiss
    that sailed on a breeze
    from your lips
    across your outstretched palm
on its way to my heart
    hundreds of miles away.

    At that moment in time---

    you loved me.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
