    A New Day

As I wake up in the morning
A new, full day ahead of me
    The bright sun
    Showing through my bedroom window
    The beautiful birds, chirping outside

As I start to get ready
    For another day
    I walk out the door
    The sun in my face
The wind blowing in my hair
This will surely be a new day
    That lies ahead.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
