    A Prison Boy

A prison boy came home one day to find his true love had gone away
and when he asked the reason why with this letter she did reply

If you had chosen an honest life i would gladly have been your wife but you choose the life of crime so you must go away and do your time

Far away in a prison cell a prison boy did ring his bell
the screws came but he was dead a letter lay upon his bed

Dig my grave dig it deep lay red roses around my feet lay a turtle dove upon my chest to show the world i died for love

So all you girls out there if you find a prison boy love him dear love him true because he will surly die for you

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
