    • writes as a release, that is what has gotten me this far in life, some I can write here, but most are personal reminders of past and future and an outlet to make better choices these days.

    A Silent Tear

    As I lay here alone
    sheers blowing with the breeze
my mind wanders to previous years.

    I feel your presence here
though your face I cannot see
    Falls a silent tear
    to know we cannot be.

    The hypocrisys of life
    we could not endure
to much chaos, to much strife
    to many things unpure

    I cried so many tears
    the day you went away
I learned of brand new fears
    and now here I lay

    The quiet of the night
    the shadows on the walls
    the dawn begins to show
    and my loneliness appears

    But silently I know
your love for me still holds
    we cannot let it show
we must do as we are told.

    And falls....................................A SILENT TEAR

I feel the deep sense of loss, the empty solitude, the irony of loneliness, and the twinge of hope near the end... You did your job well here... Good write...

Thank you for your comment. That is an extremely old one.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
