She's about to unwillingly walk out of his life forever, yet there is nothing he can do but watch her leave. His heart wants nothing more but to make her his life and so he gently whispers 'I'm sorry" for the many ways he has deceived.

She doesn't want to be let go, ready to give everything up in order to be by his side. He wishes his life was different, that his chosen path could be abandoned for love, but he is aware he has no choice but to quickly retreat and far away abide.

She has never wished nor has wanted anything more, and so she constantly prays to God to let the one good thing in her life stay. He has felt pain in the past, remembers the many battles fought and lives taken, but nothing will compare to the hurt he will feel when he leaves her broken and goes away.
