//A song//
A song once followedamidst all the gathering crowd
among the traffic of noise
tirelessly shrilled
corner to corner
like translation of the reckless traveler
tale of a story unfinished..
I just arrived my sixteen
ascending the age only to peep through a hole
where water colour
baths my tenant’s wife.
I became completely drenched
and dripped melted
in the heat of a storm
asphyxiated with jingling words
the meanings never reached
but a song
sprang up. and followed me.
It followed my foot path
followed the landscape I made on a paper
followed a book where I page through history
followed the labyrinth
and the whole body massaged with its rhyme
the song didn’t spare the new born studs on my face
panted my whole body
rhymed
a hallucination.
For the first time
I heard that
the radio once my father bought for thirteen installments
succumbed a song.
That was the day when I rolled for manhood
That was the day when a host of men
yelled for my country’s freedom.
