//Bracket//
A strange thing happened
the old man died
this morning.
and
four people carried him to bury.
there were others
to bid him off
at the ground
where men are mere stones.
Well,
here is the limit
of a drawing room
mirage.
where, how, when are
meaningless
the old man died
a death
after many deaths.
meaningless
he couldn’t draw his last pipe
among a countable anxious
wandering eyes could
trace out
the road to xanadu
his eyes made a circle, moving
round the things and nothing
winked his last death.
the throb stopped above the neck
silencing an orchestra of cries
before a resounding lament.
this is the end of a chore
beginning the another chore
meaningless
normative of
essence, essence, essence
mind to matter
there
a bracket ends a sentence.
I died a death
with him.
