    A SPECIAL FRIEND

     

    I set on the back pew of a church that day
    I was there because of a child who led me in and showed me the way

    As a girl sang a song about going into the world and lighting your candle
    God opened my eyes and made me see so much more that alone I couldn’t handle

    God knew that if he was going to get my attention and help me to be changed
    He would have to send me a special friend to show me how that my life could be rearranged

    Then he sent you to shine your candle ever so bright into the darkness of my life
    You talked about Gods love his forgiveness and grace how he would take care of my strife

    I could have exited from God’s presence that day bound in chains discouraged and distraught
    But I now live in the light of the day knowing that you helped me by the lessons that you taught

    Now its my turn to take this light of mine and go into the world and shine it ever so bright
    Because of you my friend with God on my side I have many new challenges I hope to get right
    　

    WITHIN EVERY PERSON GOD PLACES A LIGHT THAT SHINES DON’T HIDE IT LET IT SHINE FOR ALL TO SEE YOUR NEVER KNOW ONE DAY YOU MAY BE A FRIEND FOR SOMEONE LIKE MY FRIEND WAS FOR ME

    This friend is a once in a lifetime gift that I was given and I thank God this person led me from out of the darkness in my life into the light so that I could better serve my purpose on the earth and truly know what Grace and Forgiveness feels like. God Bless Love Randy

    Thank You I hope its at least a 500 piece puzzle or more and not one that has only 50 pieces. If it is going to be only 50 pieces then I had better put forth the efforts to continue to produce as you say additional master pieces. Thank You God Bless BikemanRJ

    I can totally relate with this poem! I don't know how to put it into words, but i'm totally feeling this! Great work! Looking forward for more! If you get the chance please read my work, "Distance Means So Little When Someone Means So Much". True friends are rare nowadays and it's good to know that we both found them!     It just goes to show you we never know who God is going to place in our path as a beacon so that we can become a beacon to someone else. Great poem!
