Advice to a Friend

Advice to a Friend

Dear friend, continue to read study, seek and pray,
But do not place all your faith in what others say.

For you see, knowledge is our Heavenly Father’s master key,
So search within His word and be all God created you to be.

For you see with misplaced faith there is an incomplete heart,
And life will always seem to be missing some important part.

But remember,
Life’s journey is not determined by its beginning,
And is not over till the end of the final ending.

For only when the righteous prize has been won,
Will Christ bless you with a life of peace and fun.

So look to Jesus Christ as you choose to stand,
For He is ready and waiting on you my friend.

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

I'm glad this poem found me.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
