    One Nation Under God

    One Nation Under God

If We the People, which are called by God’s name
Would wake up and realize this is not a game.

If we would humble ourselves and pray,
And begin to listen to what God has to say.

If One Nation Under God is our heart’s desire for the move of God’s Grace.
Then We the People must turn from our own ways and seek His face.

If we are asking God to hear from heaven and forgive our sin,
Then We the People must stop walking in them again and again.

For God has promised to touch and heal our Land,
If We the People would live as He ordained and planned.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
