am listening to what you aren't saying

Tried to filter those words
Lingered to its substance
Convened the core of those phrases
Set to mind to its ingenuity

No variance taken
No hampered doubts
No issued advocacy
Plainly, listened
Plainly, believed

Yet on the deepest thought there’s the wonder wall
Am I deceived, am I dressed to parody?
Laughter echoed thoroughly
But did smile came from that heart?

Am listenin.
Yes I am,

To what you are not saying.

A beautifully written, self purging write. When one gives, one is also supposed to receive equality. Very nice writing style! SBear

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
