    Angel's Wings

      Though our hearts are broken,
we hear as the angel sings.
As God has given another soul,
a brand new pair of wings.
A thousand candles lit for him,
    there within his home.
    A million more shining bright,
in the hearts that he has known.
Fly high my friend to heaven's door,
for God has called you nigh.
a poet's story you must tell,
    to the Lord on high.
    As farewell we say,
    to you my friend.
    Your work here done,
    and at it's end.
    But your memory,
    each poet sings.
    For God He's given you,
    a pair of angel's wings.
