    As Lonely Can Be
    Walking down a path
    One I've never seen before
    As scary as it can be
    I went to explore

    But all I see is
    Rain in the dark
    Voices that pleads me
    "Stop this pain in my heart"

    As I walk further down
    Discovering it was raining much harder
    I notice a girl
    With sadness all over her

    I went to reach out
    My hand for comfort and answers
    Why are you sad?
    Why are you hurt?

    And so I realize,
    This girl is me
    How can I help myself
    When I'm as lonely can be?

    Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
