    As you Grow Older

    As you Grow Older

As you grow older there are a few things you must understand.
You should never, ever, put all of your chips in one hand.
Always be honest no matter who you may hurt.
    The truth sets people free.
It makes them clean from the dirt.

If you love yourself then “they” will too.
When you believe in your self there’s no limit to the things you can do.
Remember to always take the time out to pray.
For bad things lurk both night and day.

    A mature person doesn’t cheat.
    A strong person doesn’t lie.
A smart person enjoys beauty and cherishes all things that are fine.

Growing older means to love with everything you have.
Growing older means to always have faith when the waves begin to crash.
Growing older brings wisdom and wisdom brings peace.
Peace brings happiness and this is what we all seek.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
