Ashley

Ashley

she dances there,

this white-blonde waif,

pixie, darting through

the meadows of

my memory –

seen dashing toward me,

with loving, youthful abandon,

wrapping herself to me

tightly,

arms locked ‘round

my neck,

a guileless beauty,

head resting on my shoulder,

sweetest,

softest embrace

forever stealing,

sealing my heart,

with simple, solemn whisper –

“i love you”

What a beautiful sentiment. This is very sweet and filled with love and emotion for a very special child. Again, I love your style, and hope one day to write things as beautiful as yours.. Hugs SG

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
