    At War with my Heart

At war with my heart and one I cannot win, though I fight with all I got I can't help but wonder when it will end. I fight like never befor, all the way down to my hearts core. I am loosing my will and my strenght to fight, often I wonder if what I am doing is right. It is the one thing I have waited on for so long, now I fight it as if it is wrong. I fight to protect from the pain I do see, deep down I truly love thee. I will fight till the I know for sure, that her love is as true as mine is for her. Yet that I know my heart is sworn and true, I wait on the day you say I love you.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
