    AWAY AT WAR

    been sitting in the desert,
    for about 3 months,
nothing to do but sit and watch
    the convoys and missions
    come and go
    we sit and wait
    as the time passes slow
another day down, another day gone
    just anohter day to you
    but were closer to home
    you take for granite
    what we left behind
    you stay in play
    as we try to rewind
you see your loved one's everyday
    we hold a picture
    bow our heads and pray
you pray for glory, riches, and fame
we pray we'll make it home still sane
that's the difference between me and you
    now ask your self,
    what's important to you

wow that was very powerful and very deep, i can hear the pain in your voice, you are a very sfrong person. love the message with in the poem, i think you will open alot of people eyes when they read this. kudos to you

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
