    Beautiful

Life can be Beautiful, but that she can't see
She's too caught up in the bad points of life.
All she thinks of is someone else she could be,
With these thoughts on her mind, she goes to the knife.

As blood runs slowly, down her wrist,
She once again puts that knife to her skin.
Looking at her arms for a spot that she missed,
She knows this is a battle, she cannot win.

As she watches the red flow down her arm,
She wonders what causes her to do this self harm.

Now as she stares at her scarred up wrists,
Wishing, that she never, put that knife to her skin.
That person she was, is not missed,
She did not let that sickness win.

Now she's that person, she wanted to be,
Life IS beautiful, that she can see.

So honest and you seem to have gone through so much.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
