Because of a different Race

Because of a different Race

I should die in agony because I'm of a
different race? People should hate me
because I'm of a different race? We should
loose our freedom because we're of a
different race? You should put us down, put
shame in our names because we're of a
different race? You shall make us fear you
because of the beatings - killings that you
inflict on us because we're of a different
race? I shall not voice my opinions and live
in hell forever because I'm of a different
race? I think not because I'm of a different race?

Great rite and your poem shows you are indeed from a different race, the race of love, caring and the milk of human kindness. I hope I'm of that race myself. write on.

Aww thanks so much. I'm so glad that you like it. I wrote this when I was in the 4th grade for a school a project.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
